In Baku, elevator drops in a high-rise injuring 10 persons

As a result of a broken elevator rope in one of Baku skyscrapers, 10 persons suffered, including one child.

The incident occurred on October 21 at about 3:00 p.m. local time in Rasulzade settlement, the Binagadin District of Baku, located at 185 Azadlyg Avenue. At the time of the fall, there were 14 persons in the cabin - women and children; they all returned from a commemoration party.

The IA "Trend" reports referring to a source from the police of the Binagadin District that the overloaded elevator was the reason of the rope breakage.

At the moment of the accident, according to police source, the elevator was at the second level of the building.

According to Rauf Nagiev, deputy chief physician of the Baku First Aid Service, 7 out of 10 injured victims were hospitalized.

The state of the patients is stable, doctors say; many have leg fractures, the "Day.Az" writes.
