Krasnodar Territory fixes Siberian plague cases
Cattle mortality from Siberian plague was revealed in Uspenskaya village, Beloglinskiy District, Krasnodar Territory. The farm workers are under doctor's supervision there, the Southern Regional Centre (SRC) of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of the Russian Federation reports.
"On September 19, nine animals with disease symptoms were detected in one dairy-market farms," said the SRC. "Later, more infected cows were revealed. Now, 20 heads were liquidated. Tissue essays were taken and sent to the Kropotkin Veterinary Lab, where today the diagnosis of Siberian plague was established.
Two patients were brought to the clinical territorial hospital in Krasnodar from Uspenskaya; their diagnosis is now specified. 35 farm workers are isolated and under expert's supervision.
Currently, a sitting of the district emergency commission is underway with the agenda to introduce the state of emergency in the area, where Siberian plague was detected, the "Interfax-South" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that in late August two residents of the farmstead named Khatsinob from Dagestan were put to local hospital with diagnosis of Siberian plague. They got infected after eating meat of a sick sheep.
