SC upholds verdict to attempter on Isa Yamadaev

The Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation has upheld the verdict to Khavazhi Yusupov, who was sentenced to 8.5 years of imprisonment for the attempt in May 2009 on Isa Yamadaev, a brother of assassinated ex-deputy of the State Duma Ruslan Yamadaev and ex-commander of the "Vostok" battalion Sulim Yamadaev.

In June this year, Khavazhi Yusupov's defence appealed against the verdict.

The fact that the verdict to Yusupov was upheld was reported today by the Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information (known as RAPSI).
