Rostov court rejects complaint of human rights activist Baranov

On September 21, a court session took place in Rostov-on-Don on case dealing with the challenge of the decision of the prosecutor's office of the Rostov Region, which made a warning about inadmissibility of extremist earlier this February to Konstantin Baranov, head of the Rostov branch of the public organization "Young Europe".

Let us remind you that in June Mr Baranov addressed the court asking to oblige the prosecutor's office to recall the warning about inadmissibility of extremist activities.

However, Nadezhda Zusikova, a judge of Lenin District Court, found that the warning announced to Baranov had not encroached in any aspect his freedom and upheld the arguments of the prosecutor's office that the warning had not imposed any restrictions and touched on his rights and legitimate interests. Besides, it did not contradict the law. That is why it was not subject to any appeals.

According to Baranov, he is quite probable to file a cassation complaint against the judge's decision in the near future.
