Adygea: over 30 FSIN employees suspected of embezzling budget funds

The Prosecutor's Office of Adygea is investigating the criminal cases initiated against the head of one of the divisions of the local department of the Russian Federal Corrective Service (known as "FSIN") and against his 32 subordinates suspected of embezzling one million roubles from the state budget.

As reported today by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office, "it was established that in 2005-2009 employees of operative divisions of various establishments of the Russian FSIN system located in the Republic of Adygea entered knowingly false data into official documents with the aim to conceal plundering of the budget funds, intended for holding operative-search actions, by their local FSIN bosses."

Criminal cases were initiated against 32 FSIN employees under the article of "official forgery", and against their boss - under the article of "embezzlement or misappropriation". According to the press service, all the criminal cases have been combined into one proceeding, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

According to the investigation, the damage caused to the state by the suspects, makes about one million roubles.
