Krasnodar Territory: investigation of schoolboy's death at physical culture lesson

Inspectors are studying the death of a 16-year-old schoolboy at a physical culture lesson in the city of Tuapse, Krasnodar Territory.

It has been already established that on September 8, at a lesson of physical culture, the teenager was engaged in running. Suddenly he felt bad and soon died in place.

"Meanwhile, the school workers knew that the teenager suffered from a congenital heart disease," said Ivan Sengerov, senior assistant of the head of the Investigatory Department of the ICPO for the Krasnodar Territory.

Now investigatory bodies are establishing the reasons, for which the schoolboy had been admitted to physical culture lessons. After the check, a remedial decision will be made, the "Interfax" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a similar case happened in Rostov-on-Don in 2007, when a seven-form pupil of School No. 61 died after a lesson of physical culture. Then, the school representative said that the child had congenital heart disease, and his death could be considered as an accident.
