Russian SC upholds verdicts to nationalists Ryno and Skachevskiy

Today, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has upheld the verdict to the leaders of a nationalist group Arthur Ryno and Pavel Skachevskiy, sentenced to 10 years in prison for a series of murders.

Let us remind you that on April 8 the Moscow City Court found Arthur Ryno and Pavel Skachevskiy, leaders of a grouping of skinheads guilty of new episodes of nationalism-inspired attacks; however, the court decided not to toughen their punishment under the first verdict - 10 years in prison. The verdict was based on jurymen's decision. On March 25, the board of jurymen of the Moscow City Court found Ryno and Skachevskiy guilty of murder attempt.

The "Interfax" reports that the presentation of the prosecutor's office on the verdict and the cassation complaint of the defence were rejected by the court.
