Relatives of Aslan Lupezhev killed in Kabardino-Balkaria reject his involvement in IAFs

Relatives of Aslan Lupezhev, who was killed on August 27 in the course of a special operation in Nalchik, disagree with the official version about his involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) and are convinced that Aslan became an occasional victim of the operation.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", as a result of the special operation in Nalchik conducted on August 27-28, according to law enforcement bodies, five suspected militants were liquidated. Aslan Lupezhev, a resident of Volny aul, was named among them.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Ekaterina, Aslan's wife, and his mother-in-law Fatima Nikolaeva that Aslan had never supported religious extremism, he was never announced into federal or operative search.

On August 12 this year Aslan left his home. His mother Madina Lupezheva stated that he was kidnapped and submitted her applications to Valery Khatazhukov, head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre, and Boris Zumakulov, Ombudsman in Kabardino-Balkaria.

"Several days ago Aslan told me that he was shadowed by unknown persons in silvery-colour cars. One day prior to his disappearance we wanted to address the militia on that fact," her applications ran.

Ekaterina Lupezheva also believes that her husband's disappearance had to do with the persons who pursued him. According to her story, they followed him all over the city and once even tried to knock him down.

"On August 27, Aslan called me and said: 'They've blocked me.' Together with his mother we immediately went to that house. She cried that her son was there and asked to let us see him. Mother would have taken him out of there, and he could have survived; but we were not allowed," Ekaterina said.

She added that Anzor Tatarov, Aslan's cousin, was among the persons, liquidated in the special operation. In her opinion, it could be the reason why her husband was in the blocked apartment.

"Those persons, who shadowed Aslan all over the city, pursued the aim of frightening him to death and pushing him out of the house," said Fatima Nikolaeva, Aslan's mother-in-law. In her opinion, "specialists never shadow so roughly, they do it unnoticed."

Now, the relatives wait and hope that Lupezhev's body will be given out to them for burial.

Let us remind you that according to law enforcement bodies, also Khazhbiev and Adisov were among the casualties, who, under the version of the investigation, were involved in committing grave and especially grave crimes.
