Militiaman lost, and suspected militant assassinated in special operation in Chechnya

In Chechnya, a suspect of involvement in the armed underground took three hostages at an attempt of detention, but was shot dead by militiamen. As reported by Ruslan Alkhanov, local interior minister, the skirmish caused losses also among employees of his Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

According to his story, the special operation was conducted in Pobedinskoe village, Grozny District. Militiamen tried to detain a suspect of participation in the armed attack on a militiaman on August 29 in Dolinskoe village.

However, the suspect opened fire on militiamen and hid in one of private houses, where he took three persons, one of whom could not move independently, as hostages. At an attempt to liberate the hostages, a militiaman was lost and his three colleagues were wounded. None of civilians suffered, said the minister.

The liquidated criminal was identified as Abubakar Larsanov, born in 1991, the ITAR-TASS reports.
