117 foreigners deported from Chechnya within two months

In the course of broad-scale preventive actions conducted since June 11 in the territory of the Chechen Republic aimed to check the observance of registration rules of citizens in their residences, 239 foreign citizens and stateless persons were detected.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt from an employee of the Department for Chechnya of the Russian Federal Migratory Service (FMS) that since June 11 they have checked over 288,000 households and 1,075,753 persons. "In total, 10,850 citizens without registration were revealed. By the rate of violations, Grozny, and the Gudermes and Kurchaloy Districts are in the lead," said the source. "965 citizens living without registration were found in the Lenin District of Grozny only. In the Gudermes District the number of such persons was 4322, in Kurchaloy - 3098, and in Itum-Kalin - 2377 persons."

Out of 10,850 citizens, who lived in the republic without registration, 239 are citizens of foreign countries, and 4376 citizens were residents of other regions of Russia. 117 foreigners were deported out of the republic for breaking registration rules.
