South Ossetia starts mourning events on the second anniversary of Georgian-Ossetian conflict

The mourning events that started in South Ossetia at night on August 7 on the occasion of the second anniversary of the 2008 August war will last till August 8. The events began at 11:35 p.m. Moscow time - the moment, when missile shelling of Tskhinvali by Georgia started two years ago.

In memory of the victims of the five-day war at night on August 7 residents of the capital of South Ossetia gathered in the central square of Tskhinvali. The participants of "memorial party" plan to stay there for the whole nights and listen to the concert-requiem and prayer service in memory of the casualties, the ITAR-TASS reports.

On August 8, the Museum of Burnt Souls will be opened in Khetagurovo village (that suffered the main blow of Georgian militaries). A Worship Cross will be also installed there; and memorial actions held.

The RIA "Novosti" report that the opening ceremony of the "Tree of Hope" - a symbol of new life - will take place in the Zar roundabout road, where peaceful residents then tried to escape from the city captured by fire.
