Dagestan: health condition of wounded prosecutor remains extremely grave

The health condition of Sirazhuddin Murtazaliev, senior assistant of the district public prosecutor and a son of the Minister of Sports of Dagestan Arslanali Murtazaliev, who was hospitalized with numerous gunshot wounds at night on July 11, remains the gravest, as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the reception ward of the Khasavyurt city hospital.

"Sirazhuddin and his two-year-old son, who was also injured at the shelling, are in the resuscitation ward; their condition is grave but stable," said the physician on duty.

One of the eyewitnesses of the crime - Idris Zagalov, a resident of Khasavyurt - said that the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. at 22 Ordzhonikidze (Toturbiev) Street.

"Sirazhuddin with his child on his arms and his wife entered one of commercial shops. Probably, they were shadowed, as at that moment a white Lada Priora car without state number plates drove up to the shop; two young guys jumped out and opened aimed fire from AKM sub-machine guns. Sirazhuddin received numerous gunshot wounds, and his child was wounded in his body. The criminals disappeared in their car at high speed," said the source.

Let us remind you that last night in Dagestan several armed incidents took place.

At about 5:00 in the morning, when DPS (road police) employees checked a fixed-route taxi, unidentified persons out of a VAZ-21099 car shelled them and disappeared. Two militiamen and a female passenger of the Gazel minivan were wounded. Later, one of the wounded militiamen died in hospital. Also at night, unidentified persons in Khasavyurt shelled the car of the head of the criminal militia: as a result the militiaman's wife was heavily wounded.
