Day of Anger in Rostov-on-Don to be held despite absence of administration permission

The action Day of Anger planned for July 7 in Rostov-on-Don is not going to be canceled because Vladimir Chub, the former governor of the region, refused material support and will be held despite the fact that the city authorities have failed to positively react to the notification about it. This has been reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Sergei Reznik, independent journalist and one of the action organizers.

According to him, the opposition supporters who have united through the group in the social network "V kontakte" are going to come to the square in front of the Rostov oblast administration on July 7 at six in the evening.

For reference, initially, it was supposed that the main slogan of the action participants would be: "We do not want to feed Chub!".

However, yesterday on July 5, it became known that Vladimir Chub had decided not to use the money allowance allocated to him by the law, and applied for 30,000 rubles pension as a civil servant. This was announced by Viktor Deriabin, speaker of the Rostov oblast Legislative Assembly.

In the opinion of Sergei Reznik, the presentation of the news itself from the mouth of the authorities may only cause irritation among citizens.

"What does it mean, upon the request by Chub? Does it mean that he, by his sapient decision, has waived nine million a year, while eight thousand people who were against it is a trifle? We have won today! I think that our example of civil action may be followed in other regions, we have demonstrated that we are able to give a rap on the knuckles of authorities and put arrogant functionaries to their proper place", states Reznik.
