In Adygea, illegal fellers cut 780 cubic meters of fir-trees and beeches

Valuable trees were felled in the territory of the regional-value nature monument named "Upper Reach of Pshekha and Pshekhashko Rivers" causing the damage of 97.4 million roubles.

As reported by the press service of the Department of the Rossselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Agency for Agricultural Supervision) for the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea, illegal felling of 371 cubic meters of fir-trees and 408.5 cubic meters of beeches were revealed in the Tsitsin District Forestry.

By experts' estimates, the damage caused to the state exceeded 97,409,000 roubles, as the RBC Agency reports.

According to the Internet edition "Yugopolis", the Prosecutor's Office of the Maikop District is deciding the issue of bringing the culprits to criminal liability.
