One criminal case against suspect of Markelov's murder stopped

As reported by Alexei Baranovskiy, coordinator of the organization named "Russian Verdict", in relation to Nikita Tikhonov, accused of murdering lawyer Stanislav Markelov, the criminal prosecution on another murder case - of anti-fascist Alexander Ryukhin in 2006 - was stopped for absence of crime attributes.

According to Mr Baranovskiy, the investigatory division of the Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Administrative District of Moscow has already officially notified Tikhonov and his advocate about termination of the proceedings against him. "They found no crime elements in Tikhonov's actions," said Baranovskiy.

According to his version, the investigation could not find any evidences or proofs that Tikhonov was in the place of the murder, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes. According to one of the versions of the investigation, Tikhonov killed lawyer Markelov for the latter's participation in Ryukhin's murder case.
