Two soldiers wounded in special operation at Serzhen-Yurt village in Chechnya

Two contract soldiers were wounded on June 16 in the course of the special operation undertaken against fighters of the armed underground near the village of Serzhen-Yurt, Shali District of Chechnya. This was reported today by a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic.

Let us remind you that from June 16 a large-scale special operation is conducted there against members of the armed underground. Power agents have reported that informed that they had blocked a group of militants, supposedly under command of one of Gakaev brothers - well-known field commanders and natives of Elistanzhi village, Vedeno District, earlier subordinated to Shamil Basaev.

"On June 16, in the course of actions against members of bandit underground near Serzhen-Yurt, two contracted federal servicemen were wounded. There were no more losses among power agents," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Military Commandant's Office of Chechnya.

The RIA "Novosti" reports that the junior sergeant, born in 1986, and the corporal, born in 1984, were hospitalized.
