Airport in Grozny starts international flights

The Chechen airline "Grozny-Avia" starts regular international flights. The first aircraft will take off from Chechnya to Turkey on June 20.

"We plan to make the first flight to Istanbul on June 20; and on June 25 we'll make a flight to another Turkish city - Antalya. One aircraft can take 100 passengers," said Alik Zulgaev, director general of the airline.

The flights will be performed by the Grozny crew of the airline. "We have three crews able to fly abroad. All of them are certified to make international flights," the "Interfax" quotes the airline head.

The RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to Sultan Gambulatov, director general of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) 'Vainakh-Avia", which is servicing the airport, that now all the preparatory work for international flights is over in Grozny.

Near future will see air flights from Chechnya to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and China.
