Investigation asserts that Lubyanka terror act was committed by Mariam Sharipova

The explosion at the Lubyanka metro station on March 29 was triggered by Mariam Sharipova, born in 1982, a native of Dagestan and a wife of one of the leaders of Dagestan militants. This was reported by the Federal Operative Staff of the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

Let us remind you that in the morning on March 29 two explosions were triggered in Moscow metro stations Lubyanka and Park Kultury of the Sokolniki line. According to the latest data 40 persons were lost and 145 persons more were injured. Two bodies have not been identified yet. The terror acts were  committed by female suicide bombers. Earlier one of them was preliminarily identified as Dzhannet Abdurakhmanova, 17, a widow of Umalat Magomedov, leader of Dagestan militants, who was liquidated in the end of December 2009.

The ITAR-TASS reports with reference to the NAC that Sharipova was the wife of Magomedali Vagabov, one of leaders of the armed underground acting in the territory of Dagestan.

According to the MIA of Dagestan, Vagabov is the leader of the Gubden grouping of militants, which is some 40 persons strong. Power agents assert that this grouping was involved in the terror act on November 13, 2009, when in Gubden a self-made explosive device triggered at the rural cemetery killed teacher Elena Triftonigi and her daughter. In March 2009, a broad-scale special operation was undertaken in the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan to search Vagabov's militants, which gave no essential results.

Rasul Sharipov, Mariam's father, a teacher at the Balakhanin high school, was shocked by the incident and perplexed with how his daughter, who had disappeared several days before the terror act, could appear in Moscow. According to his story, she did not stick to ideas of extremism, had two higher educations and was co-author of scientific works.

Mr Sharipov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he had recognized his daughter by her photos placed in the Internet. "This is my daughter. I'm 100 percent sure. My wife also recognized her, but bureaucrats for some reason are still ignoring our evidences," he said.

After his statements, Dzhambulat Beletov, an inspector of the Buinaksk Inter-District Investigatory Department, took blood samples from Rasul Sharipov and his wife Patimat Murshidova for identifying one of the suicide bombers.

Today, on the ninth day after the terror acts, many Muscovites came to the Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations to commemorate the casualties.
