Lawyer meets detainee for car explosion in Maiskiy, Kabardino-Balkaria

Today, lawyer Magomed Abubakarov had a meeting with his client Anzor Guchapshev, detained on suspicion of preparing a terror act in the city of Maiskiy, Kabardino-Balkaria, on May 11, 2010.

Let us remind you that earlier lawyers Magomed Abubakarov and Elena Bairamkulova said they had not been admitted to their client.

By the outcomes of today's meeting, Mr Abubakarov said that his client decided to make use of Article 51 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation and refused to evidence.

At the same time it became known that the two other survived young men after the explosion had voluntary surrendered to law enforcement bodies.

Let us remind you that according to the United Information Centre of Law Enforcement Bodies, on May 11, 2010, at about 6:27 p.m., in the city of Maiskiy in the crossing of Gorkogo and Engelsa Streets an explosive device blew up in a Lada-Priora car belonging to a resident of Baksan, born in 1988.

As a result of the explosion, Asker Khazhirokov, born in 1986, a resident of Dugulubgei village, Baksan District, who was inside the car, received bodily injuries and soon died from them.

Law enforcement bodies detained a resident of Baksan, born in 1986, who was in the car. Other two persons who were in the car - another Dugulubgei resident, born in 1989, and the owner of the car - ran away.
