Materials of Norwegian film director Erling Borgen seized in Baku

On 6 May, in The Geidar Aliev airport (Вaku), all documents and materials of the film director Erling Borgen, author of the films about the convicted and killed Azerbaijan journalists, were confiscated.

Materials were seized at the time when Borgen was about to depart from Baku, where he spend some days working at the plan for his new film about the journalist Einullа Fatullaev, who is in prison now. In view of this event, the film director is concerned with safety of his local sources.

We will note that Erling Borgen is a notorious Norwegian film director and author of 'In the Shadow of Statoil' film, dedicated to the problem of journalism freedom in Azerbaijan and focused on the murder of the editor-in-chief of the oppositional journal 'Monitor', Elmar Huseynov.
