Charges of blowing up "Neva-Express" train in 2009 presented to natives of Ingushetia

On March 31, the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation presented charges of terrorism to 11 natives of Ingushetia-figurants in the "Neva-Express" train explosion in autumn of 2009. The defendants fail to plead guilty and refuse to evidence at interrogations.

Let us remind you that suspected accomplices of the terror act executors were detained in the course of a special operation on March 2-3 in Ekazhevo village in Ingushetia and sent to Moscow. On March 6, the Public Relations Centre (PRC) of the Russian FSB announced that the blowing up of the "Neva-Express" train committed in 2009 was solved; it was executed by Kartoevs' grouping headed by nowadays liquidated militants' leader Alexander Tikhomirov, also known as Said Buryatskiy.

The charges to 11 residents of the Ingush village of Ekazhevo - members of the Khoartoy kin, all having surname of Kartoev, and their fellow countryman Zelimkhan Aushev - were presented in SIZO (pre-trial prison) "Lefortovo", where they all were placed under decisions of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow made on March 3-4, the "Kommersant" newspaper writes today.

Inspectors of the Chief Investigatory Department of the ICPO accused them under Articles 205, 208 and 222 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Terrorism, participation in illegal armed formation and illegal circulation of ammunition and explosives").
