Alekseeva is not going to pardon her attacker at the action in memory of terror victims

Today, the court has released under recognizance not to leave a muscovite Konstantin Pereverzev, who struck the famous human rights defender Liudmila Alekseeva at the action in memory of the victims of the terror act committed at the Park Kultury metro station. Pereverzev admitted his guilt and repented. But Alekseeva is not going to forgive him.

Ms Alekseeva, 82, was attacked on March 31: when she was laying flowers in the lobby of the metro station, an unknown young man struck her. He was detained by militiamen, and a criminal case was initiated against him.

Pereverzev explained his behaviour by his state of alcoholic intoxication on that day. According to his advocate, Pereverzev pleads guilty, repents and is ready to expiate the moral and physical harm that he had caused, the "Interfax" reports.

"He said that he had just passed by, there was a mess there, and just occasionally pushed some lady. He gave confessing evidences, has repented, is sorry and hopes for the court's indulgence," said the advocate.

But the human rights defender is not going to forgive her attacker and believes that he should be punished. "I'll not forgive, and I filed an application to the militia. I think that he should be punished under some article. It's not good when young men beat old ladies," said Alekseeva.
