Air traffic controllers protest in Rostov, Volgograd and Krasnodar

Protest actions of air traffic controllers against signing new collective labour agreement started on March 26 in Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd and Krasnodar. Today in the morning, after the night shift, all dispatchers of these regions - about 120 persons in total - remained in the buildings where they work.

The air traffic controllers disagree with a provision in a new collective agreement draft that their boss can unilaterally correct any point of the document. They also cannot accept the collective agreement, according to which their salary was not indexed from last April. The term of vacations was reduced, and the point of paying social bonuses in case a worker is dismissed by health condition was excluded.

The protest is not directed towards suspension of air traffic in the south of Russia. According to the protesters, the only aim of the action is to draw attention of the authorities to encroachment on their tights, the "Interfax" writes.

It is planned to go on with the action in the present form till April 1. Should no reaction follow, on April 1 all the air traffic controllers of Rostov-on-Don - about 300 persons in total - will go out to a protest rally, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.
