Court denies Dagestan resident's claims to Zhirinovsky

Today, Judge Olga Vereshchak from the Meschanskiy District Court of Moscow has ruled to reject the claim lodged by Shamil Sheikhov, a resident of Makhachkala, in defence of his honour, dignity and business reputation against Chairman of the LDPR and Deputy of the State Duma of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky and editorial board of the newspaper "LDPR". The claimant told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he was shocked by the verdict.

"The session was to take place at 9 a.m. I came from Makhachkala, and already in the building of the court I learnt that the hearing of the other case had been appointed on that hour. It became clear that I'd lose; moreover, there were no Zhirinovsky's representatives in the courtroom," said Mr Sheikhov.

Then he told that his case was decided in one minute. "The judge asked me: 'Do you have any additions to your claim?' I said that had results of the linguistic examination left at home. She said that I should have brought it with me, then, she retired to the consultative room. Then, she read out the operative part of her decision rejecting my claim and explained that the final motivated decision will be ready in 5 days," said Sheikhov.

He said about his plan to address the panel on civil cases of the Moscow City Court.
