OSCE Mission fixed no ceasefire violations by Karabakh or Azerbaijan

On February 23, the OSCE Mission held a scheduled monitoring in the contact line of armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Askeran direction.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) that from the positions of the Defence Army of the NKR the monitoring was conducted by the coordinator of the OSCE Office Lieutenant Colonel Imre Palatinus (Hungary) and field assistants to the personal representative of the OSCE Chairman Jiri Aberle and Zhaslan Nurtazin.

"Monitoring has passed under the pre-planned schedule; no violations of the ceasefire regime were revealed. The observation mission on the Karabakh side was accompanied by officials of the NKR's MFA and Ministry of Defence," the MFA reports.

As reported by the "Bakililar.AZ", the Azerbaijani party has also confirmed that today's monitoring of the OSCE has passed without incidents.

On February 22, the NKR's Ministry of Defence reported a violation of the ceasefire regime by Azerbaijani soldiers. According to the Karabakh party, numerous violations of this regime have been fixed lately practically along the whole contact line.

  • Rights defenders give number of kidnapped people in Chechnya
