Ingushetia to open settlement for residents of landslide zone

The cottage settlement, now in construction in Ingushetia for residents of the landslide zone of the Malgobek District, will be opened by February 23, 2010. 507 seismic-resistant cottages of the can withstand 9-point earthquake.

"The settlement will be equipped with all the objects vital for normal live of its residents, including a school, a kindergarten, a shopping centre and other household facilities. The key issue for today is to supply water, gas and electricity and to connect the sewer network," President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov told the "Interfax" Agency.

The settlement was started in May 2009. It is planned to bring all the utilities to houses by the end of January, the "Ingushetia.Org" reports.
