Refugee from Abkhazia murdered in Moscow to be buried in Georgia

The body of Eduard Gurtskaya, a citizen of Georgia and a refugee from Abkhazia, who was killed in Moscow by a militiaman, will be brought to Tbilisi, as reported by the press service of the Ministry for Refugees' Matters and Accommodation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 23, at about 10:30 p.m. in the area of the "Kuzminki" metro station, a Moscow militiaman recruited from Kalmykia Anver Ibragimov, being in the condition of alcoholic intoxication, beat two natives of Abkhazia, whom he had never met before, and subsequently one of them died. According to preliminary data, the incident grew up from an ordinary quarrel.

The above Georgian Ministry allocated 3,500 US dollars for transportation of the body of Eduard Gurtskaya, 19, to Tbilisi. As told by Minister Koba Subeliani on air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, the refugee family of Gurtskaya lives in Tskhneti village near the Georgian capital. The government will also pay for the funeral. The "Georgia Online" reports that the casualty lived for long in Tbilisi; and his relatives to bury him there.

On Wednesday, November 25, sergeant Anver Ibragimov, suspected of beating Eduard Gurtskaya to death, was indicted. On Thursday, November 26, the Kuzminki Court of Moscow authorized his arrest, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.

Advocate Sergey Shushpanov said that Ibragimov had partially admitted his guilt - only that he stroke blows. However, he asserts that his blows were harmless for one's health. The two other militiamen, present at the beating, figure as witnesses so far.
