Rostov-on-Don: deceived interest-holders hold picket

Today, deceived interest-holders (people who prepaid their apartments in a new house, but received nothing) of Rostov-on-Don have held a picket, which was not sanctioned by the authorities.

With every year, the number of failed would-be tenants is growing in the Rostov Region. Many of them have no roof over their heads and enter the ranks of homeless citizens. This year the total number of those who lost their money and received no housing in the Region has exceeded 4000 persons. The Radio Liberty reports that three years ago there were about 400 such persons - an order of magnitude less.

In August 2009, the Inter-Regional Public Movement "Defence of Rights of Housing Interest-Holders", intended to coordinate protest actions against authorities' passiveness and deliberate falsification of the scale of deceiving citizens in the sphere of housing construction, was founded in Russia.

On November 7, in their cities, the deceived interest-holders of 23 building objects of Moscow, Moscow Region, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don went out to hold their protest actions, as reported by the "Gazeta.Ru".
