Agasiyev, Kazi Magomed

Active fighter for the Soviet Power in the Caucasus.

Born in 1882 in the village of Akhty, Dagestan, in a family of a craftsman. Worker. Member of the Communist Party starting 1904. Worked in the Oil Industry Worker Union. Repeatedly arrested by the tsarist police. After the October Revolution, was a member of Baku Council and a chairman of Derbent Council. While Southern Dagestan and Derbent were occupied by interventionists and Bicherakhov gangs, organized guerilla resistance. Was shot by Turkish interventionists September 19, 1918.
