14 out of 15 detained residents of Ingushetia released

On May 27 in Ingushetia, six more persons were released out of the fifteen residents of Ingushetia earlier arrested on suspicion of illegal bearing firearms and ammunition. Thus, as of today, only one member of this grouping is still in custody.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from a source in law enforcement bodies of the Nazran District. However, the source could not give any details of the release and the grounds why the remaining person is still under arrest.

The attempts of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent to clear up this situation in official bodies gave no results.

Speaking to the correspondent, one of local observers could not exclude that the detained armed citizens could be securities at some objects, either hired by somebody or just invited by their relatives.

"I don't dare judging on the fairness of their detention or release, since I have no facts to make conclusions; however, from the very beginning the story looked strange. The fact that these guys have nothing to do with militants was obvious from the very beginning, since the latter, having arms in hand, would ever hardly surrender without fight; especially as a whole group," said one of local experts who preferred to remain anonymous.
