Azerbaijani "Musavat" activist Eyubzade sentenced to two years of imprisonment
Today, in Azerbaijan, a verdict was announced to Orkhan Eyubzade, a 19-year-old activist of the "Musavat" Party, charged with resisting the police with the use of violence. The defence did not agree with the verdict, has treated it as politically motivated, and intends to appeal against it.

"Caucasian Knot" does not confirm FSB information on twofold reduction of number of terror acts
This year, as a result of coordinated law enforcement and prevention activities, the number of terrorist crimes has reduced more than two times in comparison with the same period of the past year. This has been reported today by Alexander Bortnikov, the Director of the Russian FSB, the Chairman of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) at the NAC meeting in Moscow. According to the "Caucasian Knot" analysis, in 2014, in the North-Caucasian regions, the number of terror act and other terrorist crimes declined not twice, but by one-third.

ECtHR's Grand Chamber dismisses appeal of Azerbaijani Government on Mamedov's case

In Novorossiysk, soldiers are sentenced to one year of imprisonment for extortion and beating their colleague

In Volgograd, mothers of large families report on officials' failure to fulfil their demands
On October 13, Nadezhda Kireeva, Olga Eshenko, and Olga Stepanova, three mothers of large families, spent two hours standing on the stairs of the building of the government of the Volgograd Region, demanding a meeting with the Governor.
