Soslan Sitokhov accused of abuse of office

Investigators have charged Soslan Sitokhov, the head of the criminal investigation section of the Iriston ROVD (District Interior Division) of Vladikavkaz, arrested in the case of the death of a detainee Vladimir Tskaev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the 39-year-old Vladimir Tskaev died at night on November 1, after questioning at the Iriston ROVD. According to relatives, he died from torture. Three policemen were arrested in the case: Atsamaz Datiev, Oleg Dzampaev and Azamat Tsukkiev; they all deny their guilt. On December 8, Soslan Sitokhov, the fourth suspect was taken into custody.

Soslan Sitokhov, the 35-year-old police major, is accused of abuse of power with use of violence, said the spokesman of the Investigating Department of the ICRF for North Ossetia. This article provides for the penalty of 3-10 years in prison.
