Armenian parliament adopts amendments to the law on maternity benefits
On Monday, the MPs of the National Assembly of Armenia adopted amendments to the legislation on maternity benefits in the second and final reading. Members of the factions of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", "Country of Law" and "Prosperous Armenia" refused to vote.

Karaman hunger-strikers replaced
In the morning on Monday, December 1, seven hunger-strikers in Karaman (Dagestan) were replaced by new protesters. Gamzat Khangishiev, who is representing local residents, said that the protesters see no actions undertaken by the authorities, which could be a prerequisite to stop the hunger strike.

Aibga residents complain about travel problems due to Russia-Abkhazia territorial dispute

Large hideout with ammunition found in Chechnya
A hideout with grenades and ammunition was found in Grozny in the village of Solyonaya Balka. According to power agents, the hideout belonged to Aslan Aliskhanov, who was killed on October 18.
