ICRF confirms Andy resident's wounding

A resident of the Dagestani village of Andi received a shrapnel wound during a special operation, said the spokesman of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), thus confirming the information of the "Caucasian Knot" of January 26.

On January 25, it was reported, that the village of Andi was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. In the evening, a private house was blocked there.

According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), one militant was killed in the CTO, and no power agents and local residents suffered. However, on January 26, an Andi resident reported wounding of his fellow villager – a relative of the owner of the destroyed house. The CTO regime was lifted on January 27.

According to Rasul Temirbekov, Senior Assistant to the Head of the ID for Dagestan of the ICRF, the above Andi villager "was wounded before the active phase of the CTO."

According to his story, the man was "at home, next door to the house where the suspect was hiding." When power agents began surrounding the blocked house, the man went out into the yard.

According to preliminary data, the wounded villager "is a relative of the militant killed in the CTO."
