In Volgograd Region, attackers on Gipsy camp sentenced to 4.5-11 years of imprisonment
On August 17, 2009, in the Volgograd Region, the court sentenced a group of eight persons who attacked a Gipsy camp in April 2006 in the city of Volzhskiy. Two persons were killed in that attack. The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment for the terms from 4.5 to 11 years.

Chechnya's MIA: Kalinichenko family was executed as revenge for identifying a militant
The law enforcement bodies of the Chechen Republic now know the name of a suspected killer of five persons in Pervomaiskoe village, Grozny District, committed at night of August 17. Sochi ecologists plan to stop deforestation at construction of Adler-Krasnaya Polyana highway
The Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus is going to stop felling at the construction of the combined highway Adler-Krasnaya Polyana (Red Meadow). Andrei Rudomakha, coordinator of the Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus said that now ecologists plan to lodge applications to law enforcement bodies. Then the "greens" want to stop the tree felling, which is underway there, according to ecology activists, with their own bodies.

Beslan mothers sent a letter to Russian President asking to consider the law on status of terror act victims
