MCC upholds verdict to militiaman who beat Abkhazian native to death

The Moscow City Court (MCC) has rejected the cassation of ex-militiaman Anver Ibragimov, who was convicted for beating Eduard Gurtskaya, a native of Abkhazia, to death in Moscow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 18 the Kuzminki Court of Moscow sentenced former militiaman Anver Ibragimov to 15 years of imprisonment, having found him guilty of killing the native of Abkhazia while in the state of alcoholic intoxication.

By its today's decision, the cassation board has confirmed the legality of the verdict of the first-instance court, the Russian Agency for Legal and Judicial Information (known as "RAPSI") reports.
