Three suspected militants to face trial in Chechnya
Three residents of the Sunzha District of Chechnya will face trial on suspicion of plotting a terror act against law enforcers. The Chechnya's Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation of the criminal case against Makhmud Madaev, 22, Yusup Ektumaev, 20, and Kemran Karsamov, residents of the village of Assinovskaya, Sunzha District of Chechnya.

Baku court dismisses complaint against Zaur Gurbanly's arrest
The Baku Court of Appeal (CoA) has dismissed the appeal complaint lodged by Zaur Gurbanly, a blogger and an activist of the "Nida" public movement, against the court ruling to extend his arrest by three months more. His advocate believes that investigators are deliberately protracting the transfer of the case to the court.

On Monday, the refugees from Chechnya, living in Ingushetia since the 1990s, went on an endless hunger strike demanding solution of their housing problems. In total, 21 persons have declared their intention to take part in the protest.

Convict for blowing up "Neva-Express" Train dies in Ekaterinburg colony
Tarkhan Kartoev, a resident of the Ingush village of Ekazhevo, convicted on charges of blowing up the "Neva-Express" Train, has died in Penal Colony No. 2 (IK-2) of Ekaterinburg. "The telegram was signed by Major V. Mikheev. My son had stayed in the IK-2 for just a week. Circassian organizations protest against Abkhaz conference held by European Parliament
According to activists of a number of Circassian organizations, on 28 June in Brussels for the fault of the Abkhaz delegation, the Day of Circassian Culture at the European Parliament was disrupted. "Centre of Civil Initiatives" completes project on strengthening peacemaking role of women in Southern Caucasus
