Jamaluddin Sharapuddinov who was declared killed during a special operation on May, 26, in the settlement of Chontaul, Dagestan, by National Anti-Terrorist Committee had been tortured to death, the victim's brother-in-law Abdula Ibragimov, resident of the settlement of Komsomolskoye, Kizilyurt district of Dagestan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.

Resident of Dagestan reports illegal detention and torture of his relatives

Ex-deputy from Astrakhan to appeal to ECtHR on criminal prosecution and beating in prison
Igor Negerev, a former deputy of the Astrakhan Regional Duma, convicted for an attempt to trip over a GIBDD (road police) inspector and accused of false denunciation of law enforcement bodies, has prepared a package of necessary documents for the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), since he believes that both cases were fabricated. The Regional Investigatory Committee refuses to comment on the situation.

In Astrakhan, 11 customs officers convicted for frauds with customs declarations as criminal grouping
The court in the Astrakhan Region has sentenced 17 local residents, including 11 employees of the Krasnoyarsk customs post of the Astrakhan Customs, accused of contraband committed as an organized grouping, said the spokeswoman of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
