Ex- major Yevseev amnestied in Chechnya
Ex-militia major Mikhail Yevseev who had been accused of a number of grave crimes committed in the territory of Chechnya in 2004 will not be made criminally liable. Criminal proceedings against Yevseev were stopped in connection with formerly enacted amnesty.

Missing Kokrek villager found dead in Dagestan

Grozny: unidentified assailants attack Chechen Human Rights Centre

Muratov: current methods do not allow final inquiry into the death of Yuri Schekochikhin
The investigation into the death of journalist Yuri Schekochikhin, who shortly before his death, namely in 2002-2003, was a member of the public commission of inquiry into the explosions of houses in Moscow and Volgodonsk in 1999, was resumed five times, and then stopped. The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
