In Dagestan, local resident Georgy Khristokyan unlawfully detained, his father-in-law asserts

A resident of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan states that his son Georgy Khristokyan was unlawfully detained and kept at the Tarumovka IVS (temporary detention facility). Starting from April 13, the detainee is not allowed to be visited by the advocate. This was reported by his advocate Murad Magomedov.

Georgy Khristokyan disappeared on April 10, 2013. This was reported by Atagadji Atagadjiev, the father of his wife, a resident of the village of Staraya Serebryakovka. "In the evening, he did not return home, and I learned that from my sister Sariyat. Relatives began to look for him in Kizlyar, since he and his family live there. However, he was not kept by the OVD (Interior Division) of the Kizlyar District or by the GOVD (City Interior Division)," Atagadji Atagadjiev told the "Caucasian Knot".

According to his story, on April 12, the house of Georgy Khristokyan was searched; however, law enforcement agents failed to leave a copy of search protocol. Meanwhile, according to Atagadji Atagadjiev, the law enforcement agents did not find anything illegal in the house. On the same day, on April 12, he received a call from Georgy - and the latter said that he was kept in Karkmaskale at the police station and that he was to be brought to Tarumovka.

The detainee's relative and the advocate Murad Magomedov have appealed to the human rights organizations "Memorial" and "Civil Assistance" with requests to protect the rights of Georgy Khristokyan. This information was confirmed by Elena Denisenko, a representative of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" in Dagestan.

The appeal of Atagadji Atagadjiev reports that, to his knowledge, "Georgy could face charges of having robbed a bus".

In his turn, the detainee's advocate Murad Magomedov asks human rights activists to assist in getting the admission to visit Georgy Khristokyan kept at the Tarumovka IVS.
