Three Russian border checkpoints in the Rostov Region – the "Novoshakhtinsk", "Kuibyshevo" and "Gukovo" – remained closed on Tuesday, because of non-operation of their neighbouring Ukrainian counterparts, said Ryan Farukshin, the spokesman of the Russia's Southern Customs Department.

On July 28, the Russian checkpoint "Kuibyshevo" located on the border of Russia's Rostov Region and Ukraine's Donetsk Region, received eight Ukrainian wounded servicemen. They were delivered to the Russian party for transporting through the humanitarian corridor back to Ukraine.

As reported today by Andrei Lysenko, the spokesman of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, during the shelling of the border checkpoint "Dolzhansky" in the Luhansk Region from the territory of the Rostov Region, four Ukrainian border guards were killed and two more wounded. Two more employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine were wounded by the shelling from the territory adjacent to the checkpoint "Krasnaya Talovka".

The administration of the city of Karabulak has demanded from the refugees living in the temporary accommodation centre (TAC) named "Promzhilbaza" to move out until mid-August, said Isiyat Dzaurova, one of the refugees. The Mayor of Karabulak Muslim Yandiev has confirmed the information that the refugees were given time to find some other housing. However, the "Promzhilbaza" residents claim that they cannot rent housing for the money allocated to them by the authorities.

The Moscow City Court (MCC) has found Orkhan Zeinalov, a native of Azerbaijan, guilty of the murder of Yegor Scherbakov, a resident of the Moscow District of Biryulyovo. The defendant was sentenced to 17 years of a high-security penal colony. The defence of Orkhan Zeinalov has announced its intention to appeal against the sentence.
