Activists of "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" hold rally and demand resignation of Taganrog Mayor

On October 3, about 150 people held a protest action directed against Mayor of Taganrog Vladimir Prasolov and his team. According to organizers of the protest actions, members of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party, the petition with the demand for the Mayor's resignation was signed by more than one thousand city residents.

The protest action was held in October Square in Taganrog, the "RBC" reports.

The participants of the protest action pointed out the major problems of the city and adopted a resolution consisting of eight items. The first item was the approval of the initiative to collect signatures for the resignation of City Mayor Vladimir Prasolov.

"The city is coming down. The residents of the city note with concern that during the ruling of City Mayor Vladimir Prasolov and his team, the situation with infrastructure, finance, economy, and social sphere has deteriorated significantly," states the resolution adopted by the protestors.

Besides, the authors of the resolution put forward an initiative to hold a prosecutor's check against a number of officials from the administration of Taganrog and organize the meeting of public activists and deputies of the City Duma.
