In Sochi, resident of demolished house tried to commit suicide, his wife reports
On October 19, Oleg Chebelev, a resident of the demolished houses located on the land plot No. 9 in the garden non-commercial partnership "Poselkovoe", tried to commit suicide. The man was rescued by neighbours and physicians of "ambulance". This was reported by his wife Irina Lysenko.

About 70 persons attended a rally in support of Vladislav Zhuravlyov, ex-Deputy Mayor of Novocherkassk, who was conditionally sentenced for intolerant remarks about natives of Northern Caucasus. The rally was initiated by members of the Novocherkassk organization "People's Action Committee".

Delegates from over 30 Russian regions come to Dagestan to Congress of Peoples of Russia
On October 18, Makhachkala hosted the Congress of Peoples of Russia, which was attended by representatives from more than 30 regions of the Russian Federation. Arnold van Bruggen: Olympic Games in Sochi will be the strangest in history
The Moscow opening of The Sochi Project photo exhibition of Dutch authors Rob Hornstra and Arnold van Bruggen was attended by about 100 people. The spectators could communicate by a video bridge with the visitors of a parallel exhibition, opened at the same time in Amsterdam, where the authors of the project were present, who had been denied Russian visas.

Explosion near mosque in Dugulubgei is the sixth armed incident related to the village within 8 months
