An appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking to help residents of the settlement of Gorodische in the Volgograd Region to overturn the decision to join the settlement to the city of Volgograd was adopted by the participants of the today's rally. On February 14, Malik Medjidov, a veteran of the Karabakh War, made an attempt of self-immolation in front of the administration of the city of Sumgait in protest against non-provision of housing to his family. Eyewitnesses of the incident prevented him from setting fire to himself.
