Orudjev's sentence results from his conflict with Dagestani Prosecutor, experts believe

Political analyst Albert Esedov sees no connection between the criminal case against Magomed Orudjev, who used to be the Prosecutor of the Soviet District of Makhachkala, and the criminal case against Said Amirov, the ex-Mayor of Makhachkala. Mairbek Agaev, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft), believes that the criminal proceedings against Magomed Orudjev result from his conflict with the Prosecutor of Dagestan. According to advocate Abdurashid Sheikhov, the guilt of Magomed Orudjev in the acts allegedly committed by him has not been proved.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Magomed Orudjev was charged under articles of forgery in office and illegal arms trafficking. On December 11, 2013, he was taken into custody.

According to Mairbek Agaev, the editor-in-chief of the Dagestani weekly newspaper "Chernovik", it is clear that the initiation of criminal proceedings against Magomed Orudjev is of nature of collision in office of two prosecutors: the district prosecutor, in the person of the suspect, and the prosecutor of the republic.

Mairbek Agaev believes that the conflict occurred after Magomed Orudjev had pronounced "official mismatch" of a son of Ramzan Shakhnavazov, Prosecutor of Dagestan. Mairbek Agaev associates the relatively lenient sentence of the defendant with the same fact.
