In Dagestan, there are people who, at the background of truckers’ protests, are engaged in staging professional provocations, Ramazan Jafarov, the Deputy Prime Minister, said on April 9, adding that "since Friday, April 7, 2017, the second batch of fake video clips has been spread in the Dagestani segment of social networks and Instant Messengers showing an alleged dispersal of truckers protest and aimed at destabilizing the situation in the republic."

Following the results of the voting at the presidential election in South Ossetia, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the preliminary data. According to those data, Anatoly Bibilov, Speaker of the Parliament, won the election. He has gained 57.98% of the votes and already announced his victory.

Today, in Karachay-Cherkessia, at a meeting with truck drivers, the Chairman of the Association of Russian Carriers has stated that in order to achieve the cancellation of the "Platon" system, truck drivers on protest should carry out negotiations not with regional officials, but with the Russian Prime Minister and the Russian Minister of Transport.
