The Austrian state board on protecting the constitution and fighting terrorism (LVT) has recognized Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov responsible for the organization of kidnapping and murder of his former body-guard Umar Israilov, runs the agency report made public by the Vienna prosecutor's office on April 27.

An international group of human rights activists has addressed an open letter to the Lithuanian authorities in protest against their refusal to permit further free communication for Khadizhat and Malik Gatayevs with their adopted children from Chechnya. The letter has been sent to Daliya Gribauskaite, president of Lithuania, chair of the committee on human rights in the Lithuanian parliament and the Lithuanian commissioner on the rights of children.

Remains of two residents of Chechnya captured by Russian militaries in the course of "zachistka" (cleanup operation) in spring 2002 were found in the Shali District. The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya has restarted the criminal case, which was suspended several years ago because of non-establishment of the persons involved in this crime.

The MIA of Chechnya has summed up its achievements in the first quarter of 2010. According to the official data, as a result of special operations conducted from the start of the year in the territory of the republic, 20 suspected militants were killed, 54 more members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) and their helpers were detained.

In Lithuania, a girl of 20 is arrested as a suspect of complicity in terror acts in Moscow metro on March 29. The version of her involvement in these crimes is now checked by the Lithuanian Department of State Security and State Office of Public Prosecutor.
