Residents of the republics of Northern Caucasus should have chances for self-realization in their residences, without migration to federal metropolises. For this purpose, donations to the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) will continue, but in reasonable amounts, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said today during his direct TV conversation with Russian people.

An employee of the bailiff service in Chechnya will be brought before the court for inflicting a damage of 2,5 million rubles on the state. This was reported by Public prosecutor's office of the republic. He is accused of abuse of authority and forgery by an official.

At today's session, the Moscow Regional Court has finished listening to testimony of Egle Kusaite on the case against Apti and Aishat Magmadov, the natives of Chechnya. Earlier, the defendants' lawyer filed a motion on the evidence of Egle Kusaite at the trial.

The Embassy of Turkey in Russia did not confirm the information of non-payment of wages to the workers of Turkish construction company "Bora Inshaat". According to the Embassy, its representatives are in Grozny at the moment.

On December 8, in Moscow, the conference hall of the office of "Memorial" at No. 5 Karetny Lane made a show of the film by the well-known documentary filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya "A Bitter Taste of Freedom", dedicated to Anna Politkovskaya, the observer of the "Novaya Gazeta". The film contains unique documentary footage shot during several years of the journalist's life.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow has decided to extend the arrest of Rustam Makhmudov, the accused in the murder case of Anna Politkovskaya, a journalist of "Novaya Gazeta", till March 7, 2012, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed today at the court.

All the constructors who worked in a Turkish company "Penta" will be sent back home on December, 15. This was reported by Federal Migration Service of Chechnya. According to a representative of the office, all the constructors' problems are settled, however local observers state that unpaid wages still remained.

The Chechen regional public organization "Mothers' Alert", which has earlier declared its participation in the rally "For Fair Elections" on December 10 in Moscow, was unable to participate in the protest action due to lack of money to purchase tickets to Moscow, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Zainab Mezhidova, the head of the organization.
