The City Court of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk has received by e-mail an appeal of legal representatives of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov against the recognition of the book, based on quotations from the Koran, to be extremist. However, the court demands to send, until September 12, the original complaint with Kadyrov's original signature.

Legal representatives of Ramzan Kadyrov have challenged the decision of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk City Court, which had treated the Islamic book with ayats (verses) from Koran as extremist. The lawyers find the above decision as contradicting to the Russian legislation.

The Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has called unacceptable the insulting statements made by the Chechen leader with regard to the judge and the public prosecutor in connection with the fact that the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk City Court had banned the book based on quotations from the Koran.
