On October 22, Turkey extradited to Russia Yuri Anisimov and Alexander Smirnov, accused of killing Abdulvakhid Edilgeriev, an administrator for the website "Kavkaz Centre". According to the Turkish newspaper "Cumhuriyet", both extradited men are suspected of organizing the murders of seven other Chechen political immigrants.

The attack on policemen committed in the city of Kotelnikovo, Volgograd Region, has shocked the townspeople, local residents report.
